After relocating from Chicago to Portland Jeff Walls is back with his first Full length LP under the Campfires moniker. Channeling Kinksian pop melancholy (“Time For a Ride”) and Television Personalities wry punk disaffectedness, Walls flaunts his influences while pushing his brand of lo-fi weirdo-pop boldly further. "Tomorrow, Tomorrow" is a sunshiny masterpiece of primitive pop that will keep you humming along throughout it's half hour fly-over tour of lovingly crafted, homespun pop gems.

@35qsxkal:Expanded double disc edition of Vini Reilly's seminal sophomore album, now supplemented by 23 bonus cuts drawn from rare singles, compilations and collaborations. 'LC' frames Reilly at the beginning of an influential and celebrated career, recording at his home studio with new drummer Bruce Mitchell after parting ways with Martin Hannett, who produced his first album. The fidelity is therefore a little more rough-round-the-edges, but endearingly so, beautifully capturing the melancholic atmosphere on 4-track. The original ten tracks feature alongside the rare Sordide Sentimental single 'Danny/Enigma', the 12" EP 'Deux Triangles', and three cuts from the preceding A Factory Quartet release, recorded with Hannett, plus a handful of songs off the Crepuscule compilations and demos for the album.

CHELSEA LIGHT MOVING is the current group led by Sonic Youth founder Thurston Moore. He is the songwriter and plays over-amped hyper electric guitar and sings with raw-glam-destructo vocals. The band is a four piece featuring Samara Lubelski, who has played violin with TM on his last two solo LPs (Demolished Thoughts and Trees Outside The Academy) and with CHELSEA LIGHT MOVING plays deep psyche pop metal bass guitar. Keith Wood, who records under the aegis Hush Arbors, plays electric guitar with a pick forged from angel wing and John Moloney, aka “Pegasus”, approaches the drums like an asteroid hurtling toward Earth. The first CD self-titled was recorded in two spurious sessions with engineer Justin Pizzoferrato in Sone Lab, a killer studio in Easthampton MASSACHUSETTS. The band is ready to detonate any birthday party, wedding or hullaboo in any country, planet or stratosphere that doesn’t support right wing extremist NRA sucking bozo-ology.
