este no sé de cuando es, pero la portada es molona, y recuerdo una versión de Hendrix echa por estos tipos en una Mojo a mayor gloria del guitarrista que no estaba nada mal (ni la versión ni la Mojo)

The Lodger - Grown-ups (Slumberland, 2007)

@1xyl1i64:
“Full of glittering gems, Grown-Ups is proof that the best things come in small packages. You won't hear a better album this year, we promise you that.” - This Is Fake DIY
“A promising debut indeed, and worth the wait - it's definitely time to treat yourself to a good Lodgering.” - Playlouder
“Grown-Ups is an album full of classy indie-pop numbers set against wistful and occasionally biting lyrical content. With this release The Lodger certainly aren't going to be moving out anytime soon. (4/5)” - Leeds Music Scene
“The beauty of this debut is how well it works as an album - if the singles have passed you by, take forty minutes out of your life to let The Lodger lament in their understated, but magnificent, way. (4.5/5)” - Clickmusic
“A very complete and accomplished album that should be an inspiration to all those who are truly operating in the world of independent releases. Buy this. (4/5)” - Manchestermusic
“It's such a pleasure to sit down with an album that delivers such a wealth of intelligence and emotional luxury with such economical precision. (9/10)” - Whisperin & Hollerin

Me ha sorprendido no ver este album posteado por aquí. No todo van a ser drones, así que una de indie-folk/pop (Marniello no te los pierdas
). No estaría mal que cayesen en el Tanned Tin...:Loch Lomond - Paper The Walls (Hush, 2007)

@3ar2fz9c:
The third official recording from Loch Lomond, Paper The Walls is one of those rare albums which has the power to deeply imprint itself on the listener. Recorded at Portland's Type Foundry (M Ward, The Decemberists), the album is rich with detail while retaining an uncommon sense of space. The songs have a pastoral quality, simple in form, but saturated with tone and texture.
When Ritchie Young begins to sing, the listener is swept up in the uncommon range and power of his voice, which can switch from fragility to thunder in the turn of a phrase. But Young appears to have learned the power of restraint, saving vocal tornadoes for emotional apexes, buoyed by the four-part harmonies and invigorating string section swells and rhythmic dynamics of the ensemble.
Long a popular fixture of the Portland music landscape, Loch Lomond finally has an album that matches the lush intensity of their live performances. There is no studio trickery here. This music is reproduced faithfully on stage, with six to nine player performances, that truly make Loch Lomond a hard act to follow. There are no half measures with Loch Lomond. This is a band, long respected, that is gathering force to bring their gorgeous tidal waves of sound to a much wider audience.
