No sé si alegrarme o salir corriendo. Me dijeron que la última vez que vinieron fue no menos que lamentable.
…del concierto de Sisters ya hablamos aquí hace algún tiempo...y si,la verdad és que fué bastante flojo...y ese traje de abeja maya que nos llevaba el Andrew Eldritch... además de que me lo encontré en plena discusión con una chica horas antes del concierto...y aunque él estuvo muy amable se le notó el cabreo que tenía encima

_BBC's Jesus sings Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now

Thursday January 26, 2006The BBC plans to mark the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ this Easter with an hour-long live procession through the streets of Manchester featuring pop stars from The Stone Roses and Happy Mondays and featuring songs by The Smiths and New Order.
In the programme, called Manchester Passion, a character representing Jesus will sing the legendary Joy Division anthem Love Will Tear Us Apart before dueting his arch-betrayer Judas on the New Order hit Blue Monday, according to senior church sources involved in the production.
Mary Magdelene, the penitent whore of the New Testament, is also getting in on the act: she is being lined up to sing the Buzzcocks hit Ever Fallen in Love (with Someone You Shouldn't have) accompanied by a string band.
Former Happy Monday and Celebrity Big Brother winner Bez will play a disciple.
The climax of the event sees Jesus sing the Smiths classic song Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now as he is being flayed by Roman soldiers. He will then come face-to-face with his Roman prosecutor Pontius Pilate with the two of them singing a duet of the Oasis hit Wonderwall and its chorus:
"I said maybe
You're gonna be the one who saves me?
And after all
You're my wonderwall."The broadcaster, which plans to show the event live on BBC3 on Good Friday, insisted the event was inspired by "the way Bach and other composers fused music and the Passion story".
The "contemporary retelling" of Jesus' last hours will begin with the messiah - who is yet to be cast - singing the Robbie Williams hit Angels, which will mark his procession into Jerusalem.
In this case, Jerusalem will be represented by Manchester's gay and red light area near Canal Street and the Passion scene will pass via Chinatown and St Peter's Square to culminate in Albert Square.
The march will be followed by members of the public who will be encouraged to join in the singing of relevant anthems, which include the M People hit Search for a Hero Inside Yourself.
The crowd will carry a large white cross and the public will also be asked to bring a symbol of their own burden - "something they are personally concerned about" - according to senior church sources involved in the programme.
The crowd will be joined by Bez - the entertainer famous for shaking his maracas on stage with the Happy Mondays. He will be accompanied by former Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown and Black Grape saxophonist Martin Slattery.
The event will end with the resurrected Jesus singing an as yet undisclosed song from the top of Manchester's town hall.
The show is being made by the corporation's classical music television department, which has won plaudits for its experimental music and drama work overseen by its head, Pater Maniura.
These include Flashmob: the Opera - a live opera event staged among commuters at Paddington station in London in which members of the public performed a song inspired by the Orpheus legend - and the forthcoming Riot at the Rite, a dramatisation of the notorious first performance of Stravinsky's ballet the Rites of Spring, to be aired in March.
While the event is likely to raise eyebrows among more traditional-minded Christians, it has the broad support of both the Church of England and the Roman Catholic Church in the area.
Church of England spokeswoman Gillian Oliver said: "We are working with the BBC on this and are very pleased to be taking the good news of the gospel onto the streets of Manchester. If anything, something like this can translate the old story into new terms."
Canon Robin Gamble, canon evangelist at Manchester Cathedral, has been tasked with encouraging churchgoers to attend the event.
"I wouldn't know a Buzzcock from a ballcock so I couldn't really comment on the music. All I can say is that they are not doing a Christian service, it is a piece of contemporary theatre and that is going to get people to think about the story in modern terms," he said.
"It is going to come from the streets, with the sounds of traffic and people bustling around and it will make people think about this story in a new way. It is going to be challenging and shocking and is going to get things rumbling - it's going to be brilliant."
A BBC spokeswoman declined to comment on the details of the line-up but promised that the event would be "exciting"._

Yo nunca les he podido llegar a ver. Me encanta Floodland del 1987 y por detrás al ser un poco inferior según mi criterio First and last del 1985.
De todas formas si la gente comenta q son tan malos últimamente en directo q estoy hasta por ni tan siquiera ir.

Nadie que yo sepa. El resto son mercenarios igual que pasa con otros grupos de la misma línea como los Mission donde Wayne Hussey hace y deshace a voluntad.
Pero tampoco me parece mal. Yo siempre he visto al frontman de un grupo como la imagen del mismo, como su sello de identidad. Lo que no me gusta en absoluto son los grupos que mantienen su nombre original con otro cantante al frente tipo Stranglers, Undertones, etc… Queda la cosa bastante desvirtuada.
Pero supongo que pienso así porque los grupos que me han marcado siempre han tenido líderes muy carismáticos al frente. De no ser así igual pensaba de otra forma. -

Lo q The Mission y The Undertones personalmente creo q si más no continúan bastante en forma y ofrecen buenos directos. Hay división de opiniones referente a lo q hacen últimamente en directo.
Los Stranglers nunca he asistido y por desgracia a ningún concierto suyo.
Pero con los Sisters nadie me ha dicho q lo hacen bien, pues debe ser así. -

Alguien más se percató de cuando Sumner nos mandó el año pasado a la mierda (fuck you) cuando se percató que al público de bcn no le gustaban las canciones nuevas? Tendrían que haberle llovido hortalizas al puta.
Esto viene de la rueda de prensa que dieron New Order la misma tarde del concierto. Una periodista les preguntó acerca de la tibia recepción que estaba teniendo su último álbum y, en general, las pobres críticas que habían recibido desde su regreso. Sumner se picó con ella y se ensarzaron en una discusión absurda (sin que la pobre chica tuviera ninguna culpa). Al final lo que el tio quiso entender es que en España no habían gustado las canciones de Regret ni Waitin' for the sirens call (lo cual no deja de ser verdad, pero nadie en esa sala le dijo literalmente eso). Total, que ni corto ni perezoso, siete horas después, encima del escenario, soltó esa perla, sin venir a cuento y sin que nadie pudiera entender nada. Otro motivo más para mandarlos a la mierda.

NUEVO ALBUM DE XIU XIU PARA ESTE AÑO:
_Xiu Xiu han anunciado a través de su página web que se encuentran actualmente grabando el que será su nuevo álbum, para el que ya tienen un total de diez temas. Este nuevo trabajo será editado por 5RC en Norteamérica y por Acuarela en Europa.
Jamie Stewart y Charrale McElroy también reeditarán su álbum A Promise (03) con nuevo diseño y planean además una gira por nuestro país en la próxima primavera. Seguiremos informando._

Split Enz, the iconic New Zealand band which broke up 22 years ago, has re-formed and will soon tour Australia.
The announcement came ahead of a press conference in Melbourne tomorrow at which group members will reveal details of the upcoming tour.
Formed in 1972, the band led by brothers Neil and Tim Finn had hits including I Got You and History Never Repeats, before disbanding in 1984.
Neil Finn and drummer Paul Hester later formed the popular band Crowded House, which itself disbanded in 1996.
Split Enz has only reunited for a couple of one-off shows over the past 22 years, including a performance at last year's annual Australian Record Industry Association (ARIA) Awards after being inducted into the Hall of Fame.
It was their first gig together in 12 years.
Last year, band members also struggled to cope with the death of Hester, who took his own life in Melbourne at the age of 46.
Split Enz, comprising the Finn brothers, Eddie Rayner and Noel Crombie, plus Englishmen Nigel Griggs and Malcolm Green, have in the past said it would take something remarkable to reunite.
Asked by Melbourne newspaper The Age last July if a reunion was on the cards, Rayner said: "It would have to be something pretty special".
While it is known that Split Enz will play arena stages in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth, all other information is being kept under wraps.**
