Nuevo proyecto de Daniel Bejar, se embarca ahora en una nueva aventura musical junto a su novia, la artista y cantante Sydney Vermont, vocalista del grupo Bonaparte. Hello, Blue Roses, palabras tomadas de una obra de Tennessee Williams, es el nombre del nuevo dúo, cuyo primer álbum verá la luz el 22 de enero de 2008. Un disco concebido en parte en España (Bejar es hijo de un cordobés) donde la pareja ha estado viviendo durante seis meses. Shadow Falls, uno de los 13 temas del álbum, recuerda a los añorados Prefab Sprout, una de las referencias musicales de los años 80 citadas como inspiración..

"The Portait Is Finished…" folds the last few decades of pop music together, drawing on everything from an unabashed love of 80s AOR (Prefab Sprout & Kate Bush) to the cheery mysticism of young Scotland (Orange Juice & Felt) to prime Aquarian age femme folk of the 60s & 70s. "The Portait Is Finished..." was written and recorded over a period when Dan & Sydney took time out of regular life to hang out together, write and read and think about life differently... and be in Spain. Estoy como loco buscando Heretic Pride, el nuevo disco de los Mountain Goats… xk me parece k ya se ha filtrado en algun tracker succesor de Oink, pero el tema de las invitas para acceder a ellos esta complicado, la gente no se fia ya... bueno pues eso que no lo encuentro, pero si encontrado un par de temas colgados en un blog, por lo menos... y pinta bastante bien.
