Qué buen inicio de semana! Los AC al Sónar!

A ver si 30" o eclectico o expertos en musica negra (katulapuablabla) me ilustran un poco con las confirmaciones de Roskilde:
ISSA BAGAYOGO (MALI) is called 'Techno Issa' by his fellow countrymen. His music is a successful meeting between North Africa and Europe. Chanting and improvised sequences are crossed with electronic elements – always with the ngoni lute and an energetic beat at the centre.
KASAI ALLSTARS (CD) is a Central African super group who defy age-old regional conflicts and each add their own touch to the collective. They are next in the congotronics line that has already given us Konono N°1. The festively painted band had to cancel in 2007 due to visa issues. We are happy to have them back on the poster in 2009.
ROKIA TRAORÉ (MALI) is one of North Africa's true divas. She supplies funky and rocking Afro-beat with lots of energy and intensity. But she can also deliver gorgeous ballads in which the small woman with the big voice sounds like a Malian version of Billie Holiday or Laurie Anderson.

That is all from the African continent this time around. We are back on Wednesday with the last announcement before the Easter holidays. And you really have something to look forward to! Our big poster day is closing in – lots of music is announced on Thursday 16 April. -
Los Kasai son como los Konono pero un poco más electrónicos. Composiciones largas, hipnóticas y muy basadas en la percusión. Muy interesantes.
Del resto poca cosa a decir. Tanto Amadou & Mariam como Rokia Traoré se mueven alrededor del pop, diría. El Bagayogo me lo pongo en lista.
Y Tony Allen puede dar un muy buen show, estará en Madrid antes de Roskilde.

A los Kasai me los traía al PS y los podría a tocar cuando lo hiciese Young. Ellos no creo que tuvieran ningún tipo de problema y seguro que tendrían clientela que acabaría bailando hasta la extenuación. Incluso diria que estarian tocando más rato que el canadiense si se lo proponen.

Como repitan el espectáculo que hicieron hace poco en Londres va a ser pa mear y no echar gota, todavía lo estoy digiriendo, quizá por que todavía no los había visto en sala… Este hecho es que me hace más dudar de ese concierto, apenas he visto nada que realmente me llegara en el Sonar de noche. Iba a decir que por eso seguramente no iré, pero no nos vamos a engañar, seguro que termino yendo...

jo, es que sólo por AC (bueno, orbital, ebony bones…) pagar 100 euros (claro, que yo tengo que pagar el impuesto de la pareja) …mmmm...

se ve que es el único concierto que tienen por esas fechas en europa pero que les hacía ilusión tocar en el sonar y que el festi ha hecho un esfuerzo económico por traerlos y tal.
Esfuerzo económico? Que les hace ilusión y nos hacen un favor por venir a tocar? De que coño habláis?
Esto no es el Faraday, es el Sonar, un festival consolidadísimo y con presupuesto y asistencia mayor al del Primavera. Y que, aparte de un cabezón cada año (Beastie Boys, Björk…) el resto suelen ser djs bien baratos. No me parece nada raro que anuncien a Animal Collective (que cuando tocan en salas por el resto del mundo no lo hacen en pavellones si no en recintos de 1.000-2.000), pero aquí lo pintáis como si cobrasen lo mismo que Prince o Daft Punk.
