Y bueno, también busco el de Casino Gardens, disponible en bandcamp, pero la descarga es apoquine mediante (todo esto lo dejo caer por si algún estatvegetal se presta, claro)

thao & mirah - thao & mirah (killrockstars, 2011)

http://www.multiupload.com/8JZEKYYI9L ```@3vbpqxgh: > Thao and Mirah both often go by their first names only. That is mostly why they wanted to make a record together. Other reasons include: they are friends, they were finally in San Francisco at the same time, and both joyfully welcomed a short departure from their respective successful solo careers to collaborate on a project. > > Mirah (K records) started making music in the late 90's in the Pacific Northwest, becoming a much beloved indie fixture there and well beyond. Her 5 celebrated solo records and multiple previous collaborations have brought her together with an eclectic assortment of dj's, baltic music enthusiasts, entomologists and multi-media artists. > > Thao signed to Kill Rock Stars in 2006 and has since released two records with her band, The Get Down Stay Down, to wide critical and popular acclaim. She has fast established herself as a well-loved songwriter and performer in and out of the indie realm. > > The two enlisted dear friend and colleague Merrill Garbus (Tune-Yards, 4AD) as co-producer, guest musician (and for one song, guest writer) and the aptly titled album Thao and Mirah was recorded over 2 freewheeling weeks for Kill Rock Stars this past summer. > > Thao and Mirah each wrote a new batch of beautiful songs which were jointly performed and produced by the three with some help from fine Bay Area friends. The album is a collection of songs from two distinctly different, highly respected songwriters, threaded and woven together with the creative energy and freedom of collaboration. Such freedom allowed for varied and rewarding levels of innovation, and a determination to keep the music-making as in-house as possible: both Thao and Mirah assume many of the instrumentation duties: from drums and bottles to slide guitar and knee caps. All songs maintain the writers' shared gifts: profound emotional poignancy with lyrics and melodies to match and stay with you. > > Both Thao and Mirah work closely with Air Traffic Control- an organization dedicated to helping musicians become better social activists. They will team up with ATC to focus the release and touring efforts of Thao and Mirah toward supporting causes and organizations they love. > > Co-produced by Thao, Mirah, and Merrill. Mixed by Tucker Martine. [http://www.killrockstars.com/press/krs538/](3vbpqxgh) -

discos que pasan desapercibidos #22
nueva entrega de estos devotos de doug martsch (aunque cada vez se alejen más de los parámetros estilísticos de built to spill).
si os mola este no dejéis escapar sus anteriores discos mind is not brain y captain love. canelita indierocker.mock orange - disguised as ghosts (wednesday, 2011)

http://www.filesonic.com/file/229148182/ ```@3hdpmboi: > Mock Orange's first proper studio album in nearly three years takes the band's kinky indie-pop/rock and truncates it significantly. Even as the years have found the band completely leaving behind the scrappy, squiggly guitars and the late-’90s emo earnestness of their earlier material and embracing sonically textured, quirky compositions, Disguised As Ghosts is the band's shortest effort in terms of runtime since 1998's Nines & Sixes. > > That makes it a little more difficult to follow what Mock Orange are doing from song to song, but it all seems to be welded down by their modern trademarks: buoyant and amicable (though somewhat froggy) vocals; major-key melodies; a rippling layer of fuzz; and shambling, slowly driving guitars. It's not far off the scale of what Fake Problems were doing on It's Great To Be Alive, from the bizarre, minimal trappings of "My Car" and Built To Spill looseness of "I Can Sing" to the wispy yet bright folk of "Going Away" and more dynamic threshold of "Roll Your Eyes." They're subtle variances, but they go a long way to keeping Disguised As Ghosts captivating. > > While it sometimes sounds like Mock Orange have complacently settled into a friendly shuffle (something critics and fans seemed to note of the oft-compared Modest Mouse and their own We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank), it's still a usually engrossing listen. They even give longtime fans a wink by reconciling their post-emo era with those noodlier guitars of yore on "End Of The World," which is propelled by a lead riff that provides perhaps the album's most memorable moment. me ha alegrado encontrarme casualmente con el primer largo de los sevillanos monkeypriest. hacen doom abierto al trash, al sludge, con voces guturales, desarrollos largos que no se estancan… mucho amor al género. círculo orthodox, moho, cabeza de caballo... el disco todavía no lo he escuchado, pero he ido catando lo que han puesto en su myspace y me parecen muy prometedores. son muy jóvenes y creen en lo que hacen, así que cuidado.
