No se si andáis muy al sopesquete de quienes son, pero creo que cualquiera que se haya paseado por la escena conciertera madrileña se ha topado con ellos en algún momento.
Emerge por fin han subido su disco a Bandcamp (supongo que colgarán la descarga más adelante)

El caso es que son MUY buenos y ojalá hubieran podido convencer en vivo a muchos en el Primavera como van a hacer sus colegas de Toundra.
Ah! El disco lo presentan en Moby Dick el 10 de mayo: concierto (8€), el CD con la entrada (15€) o bien ccon el LP, en vinilo blanco (20€). Gatonieve de teloneros.

Ford & Lopatin - Emergency Room EP [Software, 2011]

It's fitting that pop collagists Games would release a track called "Emergency Room" right after (preemptively?) changing their name to Ford & Lopatin. Their new handle, after all, sounds more like a shifty ambulance-chasing law firm than the moniker of two qualified 80s jam excavationists. But more so than the name change, "Emergency Room" marks a noticeable for shift for Joel Ford (of Tigercity) and Daniel Lopatin (better known to most of us as synth warrior Oneohtrix Point Never). As groove-centered as the duo's debut EP, That We Can Play, was, those recordings feel like an exercise in fussy detailing and knob fiddling in comparison to the streamlined bodyrock that marks this first taste from Channel Pressure.
Laying down a bassline reminiscent of Gary Numan's robo-classic "Cars" and refining the overall bounce, "Emergency Room" pulsates with a synthetic joy that recalls forgotten B-movie soundtracks from the decade of excess. But a paranoid undercurrent offsets the lightness, as an array of synth effects and a spastic guitar solo poke at the track's elastic center. At points, the track reacts erratically, as if someone emptied a can of Tab in the motherboard. But all sense of danger is quickly smoothed, as a lobotomized voice urges, "Although I'm dinged up, voices are going away." Because in Ford & Lopatin's world, androids dream of electric boogaloo.
