vamos!!! joder, vaya dias!!!
metz / metz (subpop, 2012)

@1m15dfz6:
Canada’s METZ are a return to everything that’s good about loud, ecstatic live music; a frantic nod to Nation of Ulysses, Shellac, The Pixies, The Jesus Lizard, and Public Image Ltd. at their most vicious, while carving out some heavy new business. METZ have been around for over three years, sharing stages with Mission of Burma, Mudhoney, Oneida, and NoMeansNo. METZ, the band’s self-titled and formidable debut full-length was produced by the band and recorded by Graham Walsh (Holy Fuck) and Alexandre Bonenfant. Both live and here on this record, METZ articulate with deafening clarity what we’ve known for some time: The world of good music needs a new power trio, and this is it.

mazes / mazes blades (parasol/sanzimat int, 2012)

@3l0jygxt:
Mazes Blazes is the whacked-out second album from Chicago's Mazes (The original Mazes, by the way, not the Manchester band who stole the name, those wankers). While Mazes' 2009 self-titled debut, an underground hit of sorts, was an outlet for songwriter Edward Anderson (of The 1900s) to indulge in low-stress, off-the-cuff recordings, Mazes Blazes is much more a product of the bad-ass band that was formed to play that album live. Along with founding members Caroline Donovan (also of The 1900s) and Charles d’Autremont (international man of mystery), the Mazes has grown to include Tom Smith (formerly of Office and Old Fake) on bass, and drummer Pat Cavanaugh.
Mazes Blazes is a ‘Merican album at its gooey center, and its sweetly sarcastic songs occupy themselves amidst endless summer days, picking up dime bags at the arcade, hesher teens, Saturday nights, half-baked peace protests, cartoon imperialism, gender bending nihilism, stolen diaries and what comes after all that, if anything. The band's sound is inspired by the fearlessly fun records that first opened the bands’ minds in their formative years, including classic New Zealand pop, GBV and Ween.

Lorelei – Enterprising Sidewalks (2012)

@s9i4ohck:
First-wave Slumberland Records band Lorelei are back with their first new album since 1994's Everyone Must Touch The Stove. In their 90s heyday, the Washington, DC based three-piece (Matt Dingee on guitar, Stephen Gardner on bass and Davis White on drums) earned a well-deserved reputation as one of the most unique bands around, with a very distinctive blend of post-rock dynamics, sneakily melodic song-writing and ear-blasting guitar noise. Finding kinship with bands as disparate as Whorl, The Swirlies, Laika, Bailter Space and Lilys, Lorelei's records are as subtle and multi-layered and their live show is aggressive and memorably powerful.
New album Enterprising Sidewalks picks right up where Lorelei left off, serving up ten gorgeously complex exercises in pummeling rhythms and melodic abstraction. Produced by the band with Ben Bailes (Chessie), with additional recording by Archie Moore (Velocity Girl, Black Tambourine) and mixing by Guy Fixsen (My Bloody Valentine, Moose, Laika), Enterprising Sidewalks is a deep and intricately-produced listen. Tunes like "Hammer Meets Tongs" and "Sorry For The Patience" are as rich with rhythmic twists and melodic intrigue as their very best material, and Matt's guitar attack is as varied as ever, ranging from ringing harmonics to shredding feedback and back, often within the same verse.http://ul.to/78ebg4zj -

ty segall / twins (drag city, 2012)

@3b4rgoqm:
It ain't two records, but it is called Twins. Ty's new mind-blow won't just make you see double, it'll make you be double! Fold in on yourself endlessly, hold your own hand, and leap towards the mega-Segall-meteor of 2012, Twins.
Like your Twins in a bundle? Then snatch this one up: $18 gets you the LP solo, but a mere $5 more doubles your pleasure with a download code as accompaniment (delivered on the date of release). For a limited time only, baby — this one's only good til October 9th!http://www.dragcity.com/products/twins
