The Libertines?!

About eight years and 200 Pete Doherty drug arrests ago, the Libertines released debut album Up the Bracket and became the press-anointed saviors of UK rock. But after drug problems and intra-band strife took their toll, co-leaders Doherty and Carl Barât went their separate ways, with Doherty fronting Babyshambles and Barat leading Dirty Pretty Things. Now Spinner reports that the Libertines will reunite to play England's Reading and Leeds Festivals this summer.
The shows will be the band's first since 2004, and all four original members are on board. The Guardian reports that the band will earn themselves £1.5 million, or about $2.25 million, to play the two sets. Both festivals take place during the August 27-29 weekend.
Of course, with Doherty on board, this reunion should be an unpredictable one. Thus far this year, Doherty has already been arrested for bringing heroin into a British courtroom and for providing the heroin that allegedly led to the overdose death of British heiress Robin Whitehead._

No sé si se había comentado. La cancelación del concierto de Sunburned Hand Of The Man ha acarreado algunos cambios en la programación madrileña del Electrónica en Ábril. Se incorpora Oneohtrix Point Never, que tocarán el domingo en la capital, y Leyland Kirby es reubicado al viernes.
