Friends since school, PAWS are made up of Phillip, Joshua and Matthew, and are based in Glasgow, Scotland. The band play (in their own words) ‘infectious, lo-fi, garage pop-rock’ and have already made a name for themselves in Glasgow as one of the best Scottish live bands currently on the scene

When the kick drum enters halfway through side two, it is the only sound on the record that is not an acoustic guitar or a solo voice. Joan of Arc's s/t album (also known as "Self-Titled" and "Charlie Chaplin and The Elephant Man") is Joan of Arc grappling with simplicity and minimalism.
Side one is six folk songs, five of them very short. Each song offers a different perspective, layering the recurring classic folk themes of work, performance and endurance.

Os dejo el tributo al músico Tired Hippo, alter ego de Ferran Baucells. Lo hemos hecho entre varios amigos. Deja su proyecto Tired Hippo para empezar Ran Ran Ran.
Varias aproximaciones a su folk, indie, lo-fi, pop a través de propuestas como:Gúdar, Rotor Perdition, Jordi Ibáñez, The Missing Leech + Sickbrain, Arnau Vallvé, Carola Llonch… Varios músicos la han liado haciendo versiones. Nosotros le hemos dedicado un tema propio.

The Blur Between Us is the latest project from Papercutz, which formed in Portugal in 2005 by Bruno Miguel, who remains the only sole member (though the album again features the vocals of the singer Melissa Veras).
The Blur Between Us is, first and foremost, an object of beauty.
Listen to any individual song (even the short interludes) and you’ll be happily surprised. But this album is best experienced as whole, and an adept listener can hear ends born in the first half of the album and tied together at the end. This album is ostensibly electronic music, but in reality it transcends most strict genre-descriptions— pop, avant-garde, ambient, etc. — and works best simply as “music.” Music that sooths the soul while ravaging the intellect, but never asks too much of the listener other than to sit back and enjoy.» Stream (@ The Fader):

Daniel Bachman is a 22 year old musician born and raised in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He has been playing what he describes as “psychedelic appalachia” since he was a teenager, releasing small run editions of tapes, CDs and LPs for the past three years, with a sound that evolved from drones and banjos to a now guitar centered focus. Touring off and on since the age of 17, Bachman has managed to cover thorough ground across the US, sharing stages with like minded folk such as fellow Fredericksburg native Jack Rose, for whom he fashioned the artwork for the posthumous release of ‘Luck In The Valley’. His newest effort is the full length LP ‘Seven Pines’, sprung from a year living and working in the city of Philadelphia. The sound results in a combination of homesick worried blues and the ecstatic buzz of fresh experience and a new life in unknown territory. Familiar and known, but also seeking to access memories from lives past, dead and gone.

moi, y, en efecto, el tipo es un portento a la guitarra. Pero de esa noche me quedo con Joseba Lenoir (Sexty Sexers), más versátil y dinámico.

Since releasing I Can Wonder What You Did with Your Day in 2009, Julie Doiron has moved between Montreal, Sackville and Toronto, embarking on collaborations with the Wrong Guys (featuring Eamon McGrath and members of Cancer Bats) and Daniel Romano and Fred Squire. Now, she's back with a new album of her own. So Many Days drops on October 23 via Aporia.
The album is the last in a trilogy of discs produced by Doiron's former Eric's Trip bandmate Rick White. Its songs were, fittingly enough, inspired by her many moves and hectic tour schedule.
Stylistically, the album ranges from folksy acoustic numbers like "Homeless" and "Another Second Chance" to electrified cuts like "Last Night I Lay in Bed" to the skeletally sparse "The Only."
