Streetwalker - Future Fusion MinimalWave Records
Chicago duo Streetwalker, comprised of molecular biologist Beau Wanzer (Mutant Beat Dance/L.I.E.S) and electronic music aesthete Elon Katz (White Car/Hippos in Tanks), wrote their debut album ‘Future Fusion’ over the course of two years.

Habrá que seguir de cerca a este duo de Mallorca, Techno con cierto regusto a paisajes IDM a la B-12, Black Dog o LFO , una barbaridad que lo está petando y más que lo va a petar, el maestro Mills soltó un tema suyo en su reciente visita a Barcelona.
Muy bueno esto Fun! Nombre minimalista que se gastan los tios.

Anthony Child (Surgeon) – The Space Between People and Things (2013)

Anthony Child presents his first solo album – outside of his work as Surgeon – in over a decade. As with his turn-of-the-millenium drops on Downwards and FatCat, (‘Boys, School Showers & Swimming Pools’; splits with Jansky Noise and Stock, Hausen & Walkman), he uses his birth name to denote his non-dancefloor and texture-based experiments, as he explains that this record “…consists of location recordings, tonal experiments, and thought-forms from many different positions in space and time. It is the sound of the space between people and things.” Using a palette of source material created over the last 16 years, Child’s music here both exists in and emphasises negative space, favouring bright, visceral dissonance for its physical, kinaesthetic qualities in a sort of inverted harmonic co-action with your listening space. The album plays through seamlessly, as it would on the original tape edition, ideal to absorb the whole piece properly. Both parts are conducted with glacial patience not normally associated with his techno work, gradually ascending through shimmering polychrome wormhole to ostensibly static microtones and deeply trippy choral voices, to a more dynamic 2nd half collage of diffused field recordings, computer music and electro-acoustic noise. The artist/producer/mischief-maker’s work rate might have slowed since his insanely prolific post-Skaters 2008-10 phase, but he’s still had a commendably productive few months. November saw the release of his Sushi LP on Hippos In Tanks, his most sedate and conventional album to date. In the weeks prior to that, he cobbled together a quirky mix of choral music and opera (titled No Regrets, of course) and teamed up with Hype Williams’ Dean Blunt as Watch The Throne.
Next month, Ferraro will release his first official mixtape since last year’s Silica Gel tape as BODYGUARD. Cold will arrive with the backing of Hippos In Tanks and, as per Sushi, will be released under Ferraro’s birth name. Cold will be available to download for free on March 5.
