I've had a VIP weekend ticket for Primavera since the 2014 edition and always received a discount because of this. My 2020 VIP weekend ticket (which I rolled over onto the 2022 edition) was 250Euros. Early bird price for the 2023 edition VIP weekend ticket is 450euros. Can you tell me if there is a separate price for previous VIP ticket holders for next years edition?

Los abonos normales han subido de 145 a 195€ (50€).
Los VIP, de 250 a 400€.

@magicrat muchas gracias. Sí, ya he visto.
El tema está en que los cambios que hicieron en VIP este año, sumado al incremento de aforo, hicieron que no pudiera disfrutarlo como años atrás.
Si en 2023 sigue igual que este año, no me merece la pena el desembolso.
El tema es si van a mejorarlo... También por el tema de elegir BCN o MAD (yo soy de Madrid). -

Perhaps they are trying to scale down the demand for the VIP sections by cranking up the price. Installing that grandstand at the back of Mordor must have cost them a fortune but was rarely busy; I assume it now feels like an expensive mistake. If they could cut VIP numbers by x% and expand the front VIP at Mordor a bit, they could probably get away with not providing the grandstand. The Binance VIP area is naturally contained and thus pretty inexpensive to manage. The yacht club has the Soho House connection so is probably funded to some degree.

@bcnmiguel I can confirm that my gang (middle-aged long-standing Primavera veterans from Scotland/London) are not comfortable with these new prices either! :)

@pinkmoon But they could have done that by reducing the amount of VIP tickets on sale for 2022. They have totally killed the experience by offering so many VIP tickets and now need to scale it back by hiking up the price. the entire VIP experience has been wrecked anyway so no way I'm paying 400EUR to be in that again.

@KneelB4Zod You must remember that the majority of the 2022 VIP tickets would have been sold in 2019, before Covid and the two lost years of festival and therefore before what I assume to be the need now to trim costs. The VIP experience was greatly diminished this year (Mordor was particularly shit) so I don't disagree with your general assessment; that grandstand was an expensive white elephant.

Some basic maths says that the new VIP prices mean that they could cut the number of VIPs by more than 35% and still pull the same revenue. Kill the grandstand, expand the front Mordor VIP and they're well ahead of the money game. They could even afford to throw in a few 'free' drinks like the old days. Ha, as if.

@Neutroner ¿puedes confirmar, pf, que el equivalente al early bird para los ya poseedores de otros años de un abono vip ha pasado de 250€ a 400€?

@pirindolo si, si si yo estoy igual... tb hice luego la ampliación a los dos findes y ya me soplaron 400€ y creí que era por que no habia sido VIP holder de dos fines de semana (por no existir).
Sinceramente, creí que lo iban a subir 50-75€ pero 150€ de golpe... un 60% por ciento... si no me he equivocado

Acabo de recibir la notificación de Acces ticket y al abrir la app me sale: "ERROR_400"
Le doy a "Ok" y se queda pillado todo el rato pensado. Alguno lo habéis probado?
Supongo que tendrán que activar algo no?
PD: he mirado en Play Store y no me sale de actualizar la app. Así que tengo la ultima versión
