el nuevo de Les Savy Fav. para quien no los conozca (mal hecho), rock anguloso tipo fugazi, dismemberment plan, q and not u, single frame, at the drive-in… enérgicos, pero de tendencia pop.

y ya que he nombrado a the dismemberment plan, dejo el nuevo de travis morrison, guitarra y voz del grupo. a ver qué tal… las escisiones de dismemberment plan no han logrado convencerme hasta ahora.

After releasing the brilliant but critic-disorienting solo record Travistan, Travis has moved on and found himself a new band to work with, the Hellfighters, and in 2005 they started working on a new record. After some unsatisfactory attempts to get some songs recorded, the Hellfighters took a break and Travis started singing in local D.C. church choirs, and working for volunteer organizations. esto me ha gustado mucho…
foals - live 12".
seis temas en directo de este grupo inglés, a quienes no conocía, que suenan realmente bien. la instrumentación es muy parecida a la de los battles, sólo que tienen un cantante igualito al del el guapo/supersystem. editan disco largo en breve a través de transgressive.

y ya que he nombrado a supersystem tengo que recomendar su última reencarnación, antelope. su disco de presentación está producido por ian mackaye y es pop minimalista del rollo young marble giants. a mí me parece una preciosidad.

y de paso, recién editado en sub pop, 'hope for men' de pissed jeans. a mí esto me ha servido de revulsivo contra la decepción del último de shellac. suenan a flipper, a the wipers, a scratch acid… pero suenan de miedo.
