De k va todo esto: drone, ambient-doom, space-metal, murallas de sonido y más sonido, atmósferas densas a muerte, electrónica y algunos riffs a lo dragones y mazmorras (épicos), oscuridad, temas largos y efecto montaña rusa …

Me acabo de partir con la descripción, sobre todo con lo dragones y mazmorras (que recuerdos con los dichosos dibujitos) y efecto montaña rusa ¿esto que es? ¿como cuando vas a la cama un poco del revés y te vienen los helicópteros?jeje.

Bueno os dejo otros que van más o menos del mismo palo, abstenerse aquellos a los que no les guste el ambient, drone, minimal y electronica todo batido.

A mí me hacen gracia las portadas de estos grupos, súpercurradas, con colores pastel, y un tufo medio arty, medio new age. Prefiero las de Pantera, Blind Guardian o Manowar, la verdad.

Bueno, pondré un par que he estado escuchando. Que conste que los pongo con miedo. Lo nuevo de Lazarus, Sleeping People y alguna cosita más aún no lo he escuchado… todo se andará. De momento:

The Patron is the debut full length release by To Kill a Petty Bourgeoisie. The songs center around an underlying love story between two merging corporations that manage to capture the raw sentiment of isolation, profound discovery, and morbid betrayal. The Patron is about the corruption of an idea that is at first welcomed and later destroyed.

The recording process typically began with a basic vocal and guitar structure which was then slowy developed by adding electronics and manipulating sounds, until the orignal outline is blurred yet still identifiable. The steady passing of sounds and samples are most important to TKAPB’s recording process, and they rely heavily on the loss of translation between each pass.

But the importance of the technical details of any sound recording should be considered infinitesimally small when measured against the end result. Many sound artists have read both the pop and noise manifestoes and tried to join the two seemingly opposed theories into a cohesive whole, yet few have succeeded. Invariably, the artist makes a conscious or subconscious decision to stand firmly in the one camp where their beliefs truly lie and to occasionally tip the cap to the other to remind both themselves and the listener of their original intent. What TKAPB have produced however, is a near perfect storm of structure and chaos, melody and noise, the precise and the random, fused into their own unified musical theory of everything that at times soothes while simultaneously grabbing your throat.

To Kill a Petty Bourgeoisie consists of Jehna Wilhelm, guitar and vocals, and Mark McGee, electronics and sound manipulation. Originally from Richmond, VA, the duo has been involved with this project for 4 years and has been supported by an ever-changing cast of players and musicians. They now reside in Minneapolis, MN where they run their own label, The Riley Bushman Recordings & Archives, which they use as an outlet to release various projects and collaborations.

Seattle-based multi instrumentalist Rafael Anton Irisarri is the latest in a growing number of electronic musicians returning to that hallowed of instruments - the piano. It has become something of a cliché now for the electronic musician to turn to the humble keys in the hope of adding something organic into the mix, but it would be frivolous to pass 'Daydreaming' off in such a manner. Rather than an electronic album with elements of piano, 'Daydreaming' sounds like a record written for piano which somehow manages to utilise current technology in its production. As the drifting synthesizers lap around the feet of a majestic piano part in the album's opening track 'Waking Expression' it is startlingly clear that there is more to Irisarri than mere stereotyping.

Rather this is a carefully constructed soundtrack to your most intriguing dreams, the dreams you might remember for a split second before losing everything, only to have images creep up on you some time later. Those of you left spellbound by Deaf Center's haunting and beautiful 'Pale Ravine' album will be pleased to know that 'Daydreaming' continues in the tradition of murky, theatrical and deeply imaginative music quite wonderfully. Even Lynch is hinted at again with the album's clear highlight 'Lumberton' (possibly a reference to Blue Velvet's troubled small-town) and as the emotive piano shimmers around radio static and lightly picked guitar it is impossible not to get drawn into the shattered American dream.

This is rich, visual music showing a dark, melancholic side to American life and captured perfectly by an artist unafraid to bear his soul to the world. Uncluttered and subtly realised, 'Daydreaming' is maybe best summed up as it draws to a close with a gaseous ambience, drawing you in for the last time before the inevitable repeat play. Pure, uninterrupted bliss.

Produced at home by the group, Prints resists precious tendencies, building from the unvarnished performances and otherworldy themes. The lyrics - often improvised and laid down live in one or two takes - create a lucid, dreamlike environment, marrying disparate images into fantastic and sometimes comical scenarios. Este disco que dejo por aquí no suena nada mal. Se podría describir como un pop algo psicodélico pero a la vez tranquilo. Creo que os puede gustar si os gustan Sunset Rubdown, Oneida, Electrelane (y un poco a Thee more shallows)
