Proyecto de Steven R. Smith (Thuja, Mirza, Hala Strana), primera parte de lo que será una trilogía, donde Steven experimenta con las cuerdas (y un poco de percusiones y teclas), avant-fok, psycodelia, drones… con partes que van desde más explorativas, mántricas, paisajísticas a partes más abrasivas y vibrantes...

Muy bueno, recomendado a la gente que le van estas cosas o grupos cercanos a Windy and Carl, Bardo Pond, Charalambides, Flying Saucer Attack...

'Apparatus', SubtractiveLAD's fourth album, finds stephen hummel elaborating upon previous granular motifs. those familiar with his progression will notice that hummel's sound has matured and become grounded in an honest and open place. as such musical growth would imply, apparatus is the album in which hummel appears to be most comfortable with his ideas and usage of sound.
It is this comfort which allows apparatus to envelop the listener in a profoundly personal way. lofty classic ambient refrains shoegaze splendor and muted broken beat trickery are all stylistic fair game.
Comparisons can be made to a wide rage of artists such as ben frost, eno, namlook, and even label mate bitcrush. as each subtractielad album seems to top the previous, the anticipation is continually building for what is to come from this bright talent in electronic music.

Interesante disco de debut de este grupo americano, que suena muy bien. Pop con espiritu Shoegaze y oscuras composiciones. Para escuchar en tardes como la de hoy.

se de este grupo por una amiga que vive alli en los usa,solo he escuchado canciones sueltas,y recuerdo una en particular que se salia,pero no recuerdo el nombre,quizas este en el disco,pienso que era instrumental….porque no me gustaba mucho el cantante, me lo bajare a ver que tal....

Señores, que el primer tema es asi. Escuchad el directo del ATP y comprobareis que acaba asi de brusco...
A este paso va a ser una nueva reiteracion como ls del sonido raro del de magnetic fields....
