no lo he escuchado aún, pero además de tener una portada tela de bonita combinando fotografías de animalitos con triángulos de colorines (está de moda), tiny mix tapes habla de ellos como una banda de black metal siguiendo los pasos de animal collective. moco de pavo… la curiosidad es enorme.

Arborea - Arborea (Fire Museum, 2008)

This self titled collection is the second release for Arborea. Hailing from Maine, the duo of Buck and Shanti Curran (on vocals, guitars, banjos, percussion) are joined on two numbers by Helena Espvall of Espers on cello. Here they conjure up a musical offering that is equal parts Appalachian music, traditional English folk music, and contemporary psychedelic folk with experimental touches creating a sound that stands out as unique while touching upon something that feels as ancient as the urge to create music.

Rare is the record that takes the listener to fields both verdant and desolate in the same journey as this release does, and it does so in a way that makes both equally powerful and inviting. Si, me gustó bastante (aunque menos que Migrations), aunque las 2 de la mañana y en mi estado tampoco era dificil. La primera parte del disco mejor que la segunda, lo mejor el tema que abre: Fecunda (en la linea del anterior), lo demás más suavecito y espacioso, menos tensión que en el anterior, aunque comparte el tono. Ahora lo estoy escuchando de nuevo pero lo tengo que dejar a medias. Esta noche lo retomo y me formo una opinión mejor.

P.D. Ya está rulando lo nuevo de Weezer por ahí.
