Formados en 1997 por Mike Kinsella (Cap'n Jazz, Joan Of Arc), Steve Holmes y Steve Lamos, American Football tuvieron una brevísima carrera de dos años en la que con solo un EP y un disco homónimo se convirtieron en grupo de culto por su emocional fusión de post hardcore, math rock y pop. La banda se reunió de nuevo en el 2014 y han estado en activo hasta nuestros días, publicando un segundo álbum que ahora les trae a Europa para presentarlo.
