Bueno, aquel no fue su mejor concierto, es cierto. McCulloch estuvo muy pesao cagándose en el Mr. Lightman por aquello de la excesiva luz. Sinceramente, yo pensé que se largaba a mitad de concierto.

ENTRADAS A LA VENTA EL SÁBADO 4 DE FEBRERO

Depeche Mode ha confirmado ya la última de las tres fechas de su gira de verano por España. El 22 de julio, el Estadio de Anoeta de San Sebastián acogerá el primero de los conciertos de la gira de verano.

Las entradas para el concierto de San Sebastián se podrán adquirir a partir del sábado 4 de febrero, a través de los puntos de venta de la red Tick Tack Ticket, por Internet en www.ticktackticket.com y por teléfono llamando al 902 15 00 25.

Tras agotar todas las entradas, meses atrás, de los conciertos de la próxima semana en Madrid y Barcelona, Depeche Mode regresará a España en julio para ofrecer tres nuevos conciertos, el 22 de julio en el Estadio Anoeta de San Sebastián, el 25 en el Parque Antonio Soria de Torrevieja y el 26 de julio en la Plaza de Toros de Granada.

El precio de las entradas de San Sebastián será de 34 • para las entradas de pista y 42 • para las entradas de asiento reservado (gastos de distribución no incluidos).

No sé si se había comentado la publicación de un doble DVD de Nick Cave & The Bads Seeds, con "viejo" material que ya corría en VHS (creo que el sonido sólo es dolby surround): el documental 'The Road To God Knows Where' (1989) y el directo 'Live At The Paradiso' (1992).

NEW EYELESS IN GAZA ALBUM: work resumes on SUMMER SALT/SUBWAY SUN
February 2006 sees operations begin again – to assemble and complete
this long awaited album, following a protracted studio refurbishment/
overhaul at A-Scale. Presently, this work would seem to be taking on
the shape of a double album -- where one disc will focus on ‘summer
salt’, and the other on ‘subway sun’. These twin concepts neatly
encapsulate two key aspects of the music EYELESS IN GAZA are
presently creating: a balance of atmos and acoustic based material
and electric stuff. In several cases, aspects of recordings still
need to be completed, mixed and neatly filed for consideration for
inclusion. Much material has accrued, and as may be expected
considering the time gone by since Beautiful Wanton and Country
Bizarre: there is a huge backlog to be evaluated for selection.
Initially, the album was set out to feature a “strong thread” running
throughout -- with new material angled so as to be readily reproduced
in "live performance mode". The music itself, however, wanted to do
"otherwise", and the original remit has long since outgrown its
forlornly designated constraints. Pieces for consideration so far
include: The Rock/Whitening Rays/Before Beginning/Miraculous Energies/
Clanging Summer/Giant Deserts Stretch Below Us/Teeming Vistas. Expect
an early Summer release for this long awaited album

Bueno, la noticia era más larga, ya que contenia también novedades sobre Martin Bates.

Aqui están esas novedades y yo también estoy por verlos de nuevo, después de verlos, hace ya muchos años, en el antiguo Zeleste de la calle Plateria / Argenteria.

MARTYN BATES’ solo DISSONANCE
A ‘‘prominent industrial independent’’ US east coast label plan to
release this long overlooked work – issuing it initially in the U.S,
making the release more widely available at a later date. Originally
released on I.D. Cassettes, at present there are plans afoot to give
this once cassette only format in both Cd and Vinyl formats. As there
were two distinctly different versions of this work made, it is hoped
that the two versions will be released as one unit. Dissonance will
feature extensively remodelled artwork, and hope fully will include
detailed history and notes.

MARTYN BATES’ solo MYSTERY SEAS (Letters Written #2)
Re-released NOW (February) : in Europe (Switzerland) by Shayo <http://
www.shayo.com>.
It will come as a redesigned digipack with a huge and amazing
booklet. The release was delayed a very last time because “[Shayo
were] making a small remastering, reinforcing the sound and giving
even more warmness and relief.”

MARTYN BATES CONCERTS
Shayo plan a series of European concerts featuring Martyn and other
Shayo related artists releasing material on the label during 2006 --
watch this space for details.

MARTYN BATES’ solo IMAGINATION FEELS LIKE POISON
Shayo also plan to reissusue this album, late in 2006 -- again in
digipack format with modified artwork. There will be a number of
concerts across Europe to promote this release, and a number of
concerts that will be constitute ‘stand-alone’ special events and
celebrations.

TROUM/MARTYN BATES new album TO A CHILD DANCING IN THE WIND
To A Child Dancing In The Wind, Martyn Bates’ collaboration with
Troum http://www.troum.com/ is now complete and will be released on
Transgredient Records sometime late February 2006: available directly
from A-Scale, and also via Drone mail order <http://
www.dronerecords.de/>, and many other outlets. Comprising settings of
works by the Irish poet W. B. Yeats, the release comprises the
following tracks: The Arrow/Mad as the Mist and Snow/The Magi/Mad
Reprise/I Made My Song. The album has been described as being a "lush
and sublimal interplay with and investigation of Yeats’ lyric
sensibility … a kind of mystic folk marriage of the supine and the
airborne … ." Daniel Crokaert, erstwhile mastermind behind, and
creator/curator of specialist label Mystery Seas <http://
www.mysterysea.net/> is currently locking horns with the unenviable
task of fashioning the artwork for the release.

SUB ROSA Records -- MARTYN BATES: YOUR JEWLED FOOTSTEPS
April sees the release the first comprehensive overview of Martyn
Bates solo oeuvre and key collaborations. Work has begun on this
release -- track listing to follow.

SUB ROSA Records -- EYELESS IN GAZA: PLAGUE OF YEARS
This release will serve to act as a ‘companion/sister release’ to the
recently issued Cherry Red compilation 'No Noise'. This will offer a
perspective that compliments the former collection, offering much
more of a focus (in the main) upon the improvisation aspects of
Eyeless In Gaza’s work. Again, work has begun on this release --
track listing to follow.

ALL YR PAGES: A PEFORMANCE RECORD/ONLINE FORUM
We created an online forum mostly to document/list the Eyeless In
Gaza/Martyn Bates performance record. But we also thought it would be
good to have a place for other people to leave their comments on gigs
and records etc. So you are all invited to use the forum -- esp. the
'Other Topics' section, where you could log in (now works properly)
and create new topics and comments. I will only try and keep abuse
out, otherwise the forum is open.
