We have made two updates to the World Charts:
- We now use December 09's data.
- We changed the metric used in the graph.
As andrea_25 and others have observed, showing the geographical distribution of listeners of artist X is likely to put more emphasis on countries in which last.fm has a larger user base. However, normalizing by country weight in the global last.fm user base doesn't work either - if there are 3 Phoenix fans in the 4 last.fm users registered in San Theodoros, this is going to make this country appear very high in the top - but I wouldn't draw any conclusion from stats affecting 4 users. The demo now attempts to balance both sources of bias to seek statistical significance.

Por cierto, si renovais suscripción pagad en dólares. Me ha salido un año 10€ más barato que pagando en euros. Yo no soy tonto, que dicen los de mediamarkt.

Pero esto de los charts es un poco engañoso, no? Si, por ejemplo, en Jordania hay 4 tíos contabilizados para Ben and Bruno y en el resto ninguno, te va a salir que la popularidad en Jordania es muy elevada, cuando en realidad no lo es. Es en relación a los otros países.
Edito: vale, acabo de ver que la cita del staff que puso pelukini dice eso mismo…
