Temazo éste de Calexico aunque esté la perroflauta de la Amparanoia, he retirado todos mis putos prejuicios hasta esta chica y de hecho su voz en el tema suena fuerte y perfecta para la ocasión…
De sabios es rectificar y todos deberíamos hacer autocrítica (unos más que otros) porque nadie se libra de ese pecado, transcribo lo que dice el propio Burns al respecto:
_"La escuché (Amparanoia) en un disco que me parece los más fuerte que he escuchado últimamente y contacté con ella y con su marido que son grandes músicos y me encantó el espíritu que tienen para hacer las cosas. Sé que tiene esa inclinación hip-hop y que es amiga de Manu Chao y puede que lo que haga sea muy diferente para el publico que podamos tener Caléxico, pero le gusta la música que nos interesa a nosotros…
Sus discos puede que suenen diferentes para la gente en España o en Francia pero ella es increible y he tenido el privilegio de conocerla...es cierto que ha venido otra gente diciendo que esa era una compañia "muy diferente" pero que les jodan, que coño saben lo que nos conviene o no. No sabeis una mierda, dejaznos en paz. Abrid los ojos y no os tomeis las cosas tan a pecho. Escuchaz la música que hace y lo que dice. Es como si todavía hubiera quien le reprochara a BoB Dylan que haya dejado la guitarra acústica y haya cogido la eléctrica"._

Bueno, es una opinión muy repetable. Pero el hecho de que esta mujer haya colaborado con ellos no cambia que si no te gusta lo que hace, lo manifiestes. Lo cual es tan respetable como lo anterior. Pero alguna vez ya he comentado que los musicos tienen una forma de ver la música muy distinta a los que solo somos meros aficionados y que opinamos, a veces, de una forma un tanto visceral.

Eso pasa en todas las artes, el típico crítico queriendo ver dobles o triples significados en la obra del autor y este que no pretendía eso.
Recuerda la escena de la cola del cine en "Annie Hall" , que grande el muy cabrón.

Dios mío. No me canso de bailarla con una lagrimilla. Love Goes On! de los Go-Betweens es una de las mejores canciones de pop que se han hecho nunca. Ya lo sé, no es la primera vez que lo digo, pero ese torrente de emociones, esa metafísica que extrae uno de poco más de tres minutos de clixés universales es una bendición.
