El cantautor de punk folk inglés Patrik Fitzgerald actualmente afincado en Christchurch - Nueva Zelanada vuelve a los escenarios y saca nueva música.
Por desgracia la gira europea no pisa España.

Des de 1977 editando música y con estilo similar a Billy Bragg pero bastante menos inspirado y sin tanta calidad musical. De todas formas tenía sus buenos singles.

Sí Blue Cheer me hizo ilusión ver ese mensaje.
Con Patrik Fitzgerald es difícil entrar, hace 10 años me compré por encargo el singles de 1994 y diría q es lo más caro q nunca he adquirido. El disco lo odiaba pero con el tiempo resulta que me ha ido dando esperanza de que su mensaje entre otros es q todos podemos hacer algo en el mundo de la música.
Canciones de dos o tres acordes y q suena como decía antes a un Billy Bragg menos inspirado y avanzandose al antifolk y todo eso. Inicios de la compañí brtiánica Small Wonder.

Empèzaría escuchando alguno de estos temas --- "When I get famous", "Ragged Generation" "as ugly as you" o "All My Friends are dead now".
Si no los encuentras te los mando por eso q Harry Powell me enseñó del rapidshare.

Música muy simple, quizá más de lo preciso pero q te va calando poco a poco.

Culture Club are set to reform - but without singer Boy George.

Former members Jon Moss, Mikey Craig and Phil Pickett are on the lookout for new singers.

The band's manager Tony Gordon said that a TV company was interested in following the new band, with a world tour possible next year.

Gordon said the group were looking for three or four "young, great singers" to join the band.

"We cannot replace George - that's going to be an impossibility," he told the BBC "We want to keep the brand but give it an uplift and make it fun - great fun. Culture Club music was always joyous. We need that right now - we need a nice, happy band."

Gordon said that he hoped to launch the new look band at a party in London next week.

As previously reported by NME.COM, a judge in New York issued a warrant for the arrest of Boy George after the singer failed to appear in court to explain why he wants to change his sentence for falsely reporting a burglary in October last year.

Big Black to Play Touch and Go Anniversary Show

Better start lifting weights now, because Big Black are back! Well, for a little while, at least.

Steve Albini's legendary noise-punk band will appear on stage for the first time in almost two decades this September at Touch and Go's 25th Anniversary Celebration. According to the label, it's "just a couple songs, but who cares how many they play?" Yes, exactly. (I really hope they do "Kerosene" and "Jordan, Minnesota", personally.)

Sobretodo que vengan Hersh y Donelly ya q en la gira de hace dos años q no pasó por España Donelly no estaba.

Eighties indie legends Throwing Muses have reformed for three shows.

The band, currently consisting of Kristin Hersh, drummer David Narcizo and Bernard Georges on bass, are set to play the Innipukinn Festival in Reykjavik, Iceland on August 5.

They will follow this festival appearance with two dates in the US.

The dates are:

Cambridge The Middle East (August 11)
New York Bowery Ballroom (12)

The band formed in Boston in 1983 and released a string of albums throughout the Eighties and Nineties, the most acclaimed being 1991's 'The Real Ramona'. They carried on as a a three-piece when guitarist Tanya Donelly quit to form Belly in 1992, and split after releasing the album 'Limbo' in 1996.

They have reformed sporadically to perform live since then, and even got round to releasing a self-titled comeback album in 2003, which featured backing vocals from Donnelly.

Meanwhile, Muses leader Hersh will play the following solo dates:

Seattle The Crocodile (July 25)
Portland Berbati's Pan (26)
