Igual hay reunión de los Beach Boys que quedan vivos.

Yesterday, on the roof of the Capitol Records building in Hollywood, surviving Beach Boys Brian Wilson, Mike Love and Al Jardine convened for the first time in a decade to receive a double-platinum award for their 2003 compilation Sounds of Summer. Surprisingly for a group who have had their share of days in court, talk also turned to the possibility of a reunion. “There’s a chance of that,” said Wilson, while Love commented, enigmatically, “We’ve got tough management.”

Big Black to Play Touch and Go Anniversary Show
Better start lifting weights now, because Big Black are back! Well, for a little while, at least.
Steve Albini's legendary noise-punk band will appear on stage for the first time in almost two decades this September at Touch and Go's 25th Anniversary Celebration. According to the label, it's "just a couple songs, but who cares how many they play?" Yes, exactly. (I really hope they do "Kerosene" and "Jordan, Minnesota", personally.)

Throwing Muses es una de las bandas que no he visto y que más ilusión me haría, sin duda alguna.
Sobretodo que vengan Hersh y Donelly ya q en la gira de hace dos años q no pasó por España Donelly no estaba. -

The band, currently consisting of Kristin Hersh, drummer David Narcizo and Bernard Georges on bass, are set to play the Innipukinn Festival in Reykjavik, Iceland on August 5.
They will follow this festival appearance with two dates in the US.
The dates are:
Cambridge The Middle East (August 11)
New York Bowery Ballroom (12)The band formed in Boston in 1983 and released a string of albums throughout the Eighties and Nineties, the most acclaimed being 1991's 'The Real Ramona'. They carried on as a a three-piece when guitarist Tanya Donelly quit to form Belly in 1992, and split after releasing the album 'Limbo' in 1996.
They have reformed sporadically to perform live since then, and even got round to releasing a self-titled comeback album in 2003, which featured backing vocals from Donnelly.
Meanwhile, Muses leader Hersh will play the following solo dates:

..yo el sàbado 24, cómo los de scannerfm estarían de "resaca" y no emitieron sus programas ,pués me dije…"apuesto que el Tagda-Tagdà està poniendo a los Stons o al Brus …però no...estaba sonando los New Cars
...uf! que quieres que te diga...como dijiste en una ocasión "Es como un grupo de versiones però que tiene la suerte de contar con un miembro original..." claro que al no ser este ninguno de los que cantaba pués eso...que parece un karaoke...en Icat Fm puedes escuchar el programa del sabado 24

No me importaría en absoluto ver a Throwing Muses… pero a las originales, con Leslie Langston, (el gran) David Narcizo y por supuesto, Tanya y Kristin. Qué no daría yo por una buena máquina del tiempo... anda que tardaría en "hacer los deberes" viendo a las Muses (o a MBV o a Spacemen 3)...
(después de releer la noticia) Hostias, van a tocar en Reykjavík!! Alguien me puede hacer un préstamo??

Realmente se compara mucho los AoL con los Pave pero, honestamente, no veo en qué se asemejan tanto; en todo caso, quizás sean similares al slacker-noise-rock del Pavement temprano, pero siempre los he visto como más sucios (incluso en sus últimos discos, por mucho que "pulieran" su sonido), aparte que la voz de Bachmann no tiene nada que ver con la de Malky. Aunque sí, es indie-rock americano de lo mejorcito.
