Lineup includes Jim McCulloch (Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan), Dave McGowan (Teenage Fanclub, Belle & Sebastian), Raymond McGinley (Teenage Fanclub), Stuart Kidd (Wellgreen, Stevie Jackson), and Anna Sheard, who doesn’t have any names in brackets after her name as Snowgoose is her first public musical outing. The sound of her voice was the inspiration behind the formation of the band.

The record features a stellar cast of additional musicians, including John McCusker (uber-folkmeister) on fiddle, Norman Blake (Teenage Fanclub) on vocals, Dave McCluskey (Bluebells, McCluskey Bros) on hammer dulcimer and Peter Dombernowsky (Giant Sand) on percussion.

Tawny Peaks is a five piece emo/indie rock/math rock band from Montclair, New Jersey who formed in 2011. Tawny Peaks get their name from a porn star, so you know right off the bat that the band has a great sense of humor and isn't afraid of being overly PC. Anyway, this eight song LP, released on June 26th 2012 is the band's second release to date, which serves as a great follow-up to their Harris Harris Harris EP, which was released in July of 2011. Musically, Tawny Peaks draw their influnces from a variety of sources including Mineral, Make/Believe, Cap N Jazz, and other classic emo/indie rock bands. Overall, Tawny Peaks debut LP is catchy, mathy, and features great dual male/female vocals. Overall, this LP is amazing and Tawny Peaks is required listening for fans of Bridge And Tunnel, Laurtec, Algernon Cadwallader, and Empire! Empire! (I Was A Lonely Estate).

Though they have made too much of an effort to look the part, it is clear that they are determined to fully immerse themselves in the essence of their sound, and they do it with a little tongue in cheek. ‘We look good so you can hear our music’ they say and 'We wear black because Rock’n’Roll is dead.'

Their sound references all of the typically transcendental, psych-noise saturated bands including the likes of Kraftwerk, Spacemen 3, Radiohead, 'and for spiritual courage John Lee Hooker and Billie Holiday are never far away' says group member, Lisa.

This 2xCD soundtrack to Kozelek's documentary, On Tour, serves as a kind of label sampler, a retrospective of Caldo Verde's ancillary releases. Several of these 33 songs are culled from previous collections, including 2010's Admiral Fell Promises, 2009's Lost Verses Live, and 2006's Little Drummer Boy Live. Additionally, everything here– save a few noodly sketches like "Seville Piece" and "Backstage Unitarian Piece"-- has been available in some form or another before now. That includes the four bonus tracks and even "Koko", a typically atmospheric instrumental by Caldo Verde signees Desertshore. As though that wasn't enough, early orders will include a bonus disc, Live in Copenhagen.

It was recorded Dorrnroosje in Nijmegen, Netherlands, and includes 11 songs performed by the classic Dinosaur Jr. lineup of frontman J Mascis, bassist Lou Barlow, and drummer Murph.
This live disc coincides with the 25th anniversary of the band’s album You’re Living All Over Me.
In a statement about the decades-old Dutch gig, Dinosaur Jr. frontman J Mascis said, “We were young on our first Euro tour. It was amazing to get hotels and food. We were treated a million times better than we were used to in the States. And only driving like 45 minutes a day to the next Dutch town. Good times.”

Este disco está de puta madre, lo ha sacado Siltbreeze pero no es ni ruidoso ni raruno ni dan ganas de meterse jaco.
Vienen de Brisbane, capital mundial de las bandas interesantes.

Blank Realm is arguably the most diverse sounding of all the excellent bands presently calling Brisbane, Australia, home. Following a host of releases including two out-of-print LPs for the Not Not Fun label and a pair of sevens on their hometown imprint Negative Guest List, Go Easy is the one where all the chickens come home to roost. With an uncanny channeling of Missing-Links-styled garage / psychedelia, Pere-Ubu-esque rustbelt avant trippery and the experimental post-punk spasms of The Work, Blank Realm ably goes deep (when called for) as well as plays it tight and inside (ditto). For the discerning sodbuster who actually has cash burning a hole through the leather pouch found at the end of that wallet chain, this is surely one of the primo investments for 2012.
